crawl, take a look at the new theme. the "banner" if you will (and we can probably change it) is currently made up of 2 diffent images. the one on the left is 364x226 and the right one is 426x151. I'm not sure how we'd mix them into one larger image, or a flash file right now, but i have bigger fish to fry atm :)

looks pretty cool, that text may need to be a little more orange than yellow, but hard to say w/o loading it up - what would be really cool is if we could get some new forum avatars *wink* *wink* :)

The wallpaper up there would make a perfect logo if the text were darker :)

well i could do that easily but the banner would have to be one big one, not two split in uneven halves. Let me know if we can do it and the size needed.

Crawl if you get the text of Wanderers in the Wallpaper a little darker. I can split anything half :)

The first image is 364 x 226

http://www.thewanderers.us/themes/wow4/ ... ow4_01.jpg

The second one is 426 x 151

http://www.thewanderers.us/themes/wow4/images/logo.jpg

so if you could make something 790 pixels long I can split it :)

done- oops missed your lst post, well again splitting will be very hard to get the paper grain and tinting to match up perfectly since for some reason they are different heights, I think a split banner is kinda dumb but i never work with nuke sites, but you did seem to get one banner for the last theme.

feel free to work with that wallpaper, iam sure it can be done, but will require some trials and time to get it right.

If it helps...keep the border in the Right side along the bottom. Just do your best and I will see what I can do :)

I will give it a go :) I never liked the split image thing unless you were making a template in PS and you were going to slice it to fit in the tables correctly.

Might I ask what the edited post was about? You have to leave the border at the bottom in there for the left side or it looks retarded

sure, I was on the forum and I thought you guys removed the very cool orangish title bars, then I went to the home page and found it was there that I saw em and that they were still up ( I think they look awesome) so anyway it was just a mistake on my part . Site is really looking good guys :)

The problem with the dragon on the right is that we need to keep the border on the bottom hehe :)

seems the left image is too big and the lettering in the right needs to be bigger, let me change the color in the dragon one from blue to orange to help match and shrink it some and fix the right, ill have the fixes up in a ew minutes

OK, i darkened all the shadows ( so everyone should see what im seeing, one black consistent background) and i scooted him over a lil to try to create a more centered feel for everything. Let me know if any other adjustments are needed

almost, the shading is off on the border now, but here is what i was thinking, replacing the layout of the html that governs that part of the page from being a split left/right to being a top/bottom split. the bottom image will be full width and it will be just that little border. then above it will be 1 solid image, that should make mixing/matching the 2 images much easier, and could also be replaced more easily with something flash if desired.

Looks pretty good, not sure there is much more we can do to center it etc, but loks pretty good, let me know if ya have any more ideas, I guess there just is some divide between the two image areas, not sure there is anything we can do to center anything with that there, anyway things are coming along nicely

again, ill mess with the border shading but i don't see it perosnally, do you have your contrast turned way down? contrast allows for vibrant colors, without it everything looks washed out, anywho its an easy fix, just hard for me to see it.

Once we get the big banner section the way we like I can easily introduce flash into it once I know what we want the finished image to look like.

Crawl, I don't know if this willl help at all, but here's a blown up screenshot of the problem...

Image

My Dell LCD is pretty much at factory settings contrast/brightness wise.

There's basically some detail missing out of the border in the logo file that's there in the normal background.

[edit]

Pardon me for playing backseat artist, but it almost looks like a layer effect is being drawn over the border that I assume you grabbed off the original logo...

Ayng, instead of doing that you maintain the 2 cell first row and then just add a second 1 cell row for the bottom of the table? It's not a huge deal, but I kind of like that the 2 pieces justify when you view at different page widths. It is kind of odd that they put the border into the logo files....

Or actually, based on what I'm seeing...I think you could just take the border out of the image and do this:

Code:
<TABLE WIDTH="100%" BORDER="0" CELLPADDING="0" CELLSPACING="0">
   <TR>
      <TD width="364" height="226" class="header1"><IMG SRC="themes/wow4/images/wow4_01.jpg" WIDTH=364 HEIGHT=200 ALT=""></TD>

      <TD width="100%" align="center" class="header1"><img src="themes/wow4/images/logo.jpg" alt="Logo" width="426" height="151"></TD>
   </TR>
</TABLE>

The header1 class I think just applies the border background.

Height of the first image could still be the same, minus the border height.

[edit]Minor fix to the code.
